From the Owl meeting . . .

With High Hill Publisher, Lou Turner. The Tigers were playing the Cyclones, so the game-day cap was on. Tigers won!

I traded books with Arline Chandler, author of The Heart of Branson, an excellent work about the history of Branson.

Arlene Chandler with her copy of Geese.

With my pal Brenda Brinkley, author of the delightful childrens book, Albert's Happy Thanksgiving, showing off our books.

OWL President Delois McGrew and Lou Turner at the book sales table. Delois gets major kudos for donning my Mizzou cap.

Fred Pfister, Editor of The Ozarks Mountaineer, with well-published writer Jeanie Horne, who is perhaps asking the bimonthly question: "Where do you find The Ozark Mountaineer?" Hmmm . . . on the Geese to a Poor Market web site?
Special Recognition

2010 Ozark Creative Writers'Conference

I'm standing next to prolific author Dusty Richards who has published over 100 Western novels. Dusty has won Spur Awards and the prestigious Western Heritage Award from the Western Writers' Association. Other writers who have won the Western Heritage award include James Michener and Larry McMurtry. Not bad company, Dusty.
December 4, 2010, Borders book signing.

A nice surpise. My favorite copy editor dropped by to say "hi" . . . and bought a book, too. Thanks, Gina!

It wasn't all play--I did sell some books .
